Reviews
It's an absolute pleasure to write a review for this establishment. The beers are phenomenal with so many types to try. The brûlée treatment to the stouts and barleywines was a first for me and insanely delicious. Everyone that works there is phenomenal. Irene & Tony were awesome behind the bar! The environment is super welcoming and warm with a charming ambiance. I met one of the owners as well and he was very nice. The pizza from Lala's is absolutely delicious! And I'd be remiss to not mention how awesome Simcoe the cat is! I wish this brewery was closer to me but it's worth the drive. I can't wait to go back.
Cozy was def the best, but all pizzas were solid. Pickles were mostly celery and carrots, not worth it imo. The space is really nice, they do stagger entry to ensure the kitchen doesn't get overwhelmed. Great place to meet up and chat with friends.
I really enjoy GRIMM ales and my first trip to their brewery was a cool experience due to the experimental nature of the ales we tried. They are really dedicated to making brewing and brewery feel like a high art form which is a distinct atmosphere.
It very much felt like an art gallery of sorts, a bit cold and dotted with only high tops and bar seating. I consider myself a bit of a beerhead but I don’t know if I’ll be returning to this space.
Really enjoyed the brews and the hops being listed on the menu was really great. With no food you’re able to focus on the beer for its own sake. I think for now though, I’ll stick to the cans and enjoy from the comforts of my own abode.
Overall rating: 5
Absolutely obsessed with this place. Almost makes me miss living in this area.
Tried a few IPAs doing my own flight with 4oz. Odd that they don’t offer it on their own. Good beer, friendly staff. Def on my list to come back & highly recommend. ✨
I can confidently say that this is my favorite brewery in the area. Every single beer I had was great, and several were truly exceptional. The spontaneous fermented stuff is really special and apparently this isn't at all common in the area. I didn't get their names, but the beertenders working while I was there took great care of me. Taproom is nice and open with good music playing. Dog friendly. Their beers really do stand out, and as somebody who frequents breweries all over the country believe me when I say you won't be disappointed. You must stop in, to visit Simcoe the brew cat if nothing else.
Not only do they make some of the best beer in the city, they have the best tap room and the friendliest staff.
I’ve been consistently coming here for drinks and to stock my home bar for the last 2.5 years. The beer is consistently amazing and they make creative sours and farmhouse beers. Highly recommend getting a saison, a candy sweet IPA, or something tart. Can’t go wrong.
the bartender was super friendly, kind and generous too. i am not a fan of an IPA, so i ordered and enjoyed invisible touch lager
took home some coffee coconut icing on the cake Stout and it was excellent.
loved the friendly cat too..awww
this place surprised me because the neighborhood is so industrial. the welcome was super warm and I learned about the beer process.
Nice atmosphere, and great beer section - definitely a must visit for any beer lover.
